Dear Mums, Dads & Carers

Firstly, a big thank you to everyone who bought tickets for our recent film club ‘Zootropolis’ and to our event helpers. The children all had a great time and we raised a fantastic £270!

Please come and join us at the AGM next Thursday 6th October (7.30pm @ school) to hear about the success of our other fundraising activities during the past year and what we have done with the money to enhance all our children's learning experience at Adlington School. Wine & nibbles are included!

I am pleased to tell you that we have had interest shown in the position of Treasurer.  However, as no one has yet come forward to discuss taking on the Chair role, there is now a strong likelihood that we will not have a committee to fulfil the calendar of events previously issued (that means no Halloween Disco; Film Clubs; Christmas Fair; Luxury Hamper Raffle).  Please get in touch before next Thursday if you have been considering the role and are able to discuss the terms upon which you may be able to take it on as the future of our PTA now depends on you.  If you would consider taking on the role as a job-share, then please let us know. The outgoing/ongoing committee members will be there to set you up for success.

One of the many attributes that makes Adlington Primary School so special is the sense of community within the school.  Without the PTA, and the calendar of events it arranges, I really feel the community spirit could be lost.  Please don’t let this happen.

We need to see as many of you as possible next Thursday evening (please note that you will NOT be pressured into taking on a role) and I hope that the next letter you receive on this topic will be a positive one.
