Forest School

Class: Year 1/2 Year: 2019 - 2020

What a magical end to our 2019 sessions. We don't mind the cold!

Year 2 learned how to make a bridge with their hands to safely cut oranges, then spiced and warmed apple juice, trying new flavours and learning that spices are parts of plants. Wow! They also finished making their Christmas tree decoration to take home.

Year 1 discovered that Jack Frost melted when they put their hands on the table tops but did not melt when they put their gloved hands on! They talked about why that happens. They learned that feet in wellies need two pairs of socks but can be warmed by the fire. They made wind socks and whooshed around the field with them.

A great day. Looking forward to more adventures in 2020.
